Our Projects
MICRO-FINANCE
Help to raise the socio-economic status of women belonging to the weaker sections of society and thus enabling disadvantaged people to become productive members of society.
READ TO LEAD Project
ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth and Give India have approved New Life's Project to support the education of 10680 Children studying from Standard 1 to 8th in Trichirappalli District.
The project was started on 12th January,2008.
CHILD LABOURERS SCHOOLS
The children who are engaged as labourers in agricultural activities, mat weaving, waste paper collecting, food processing and other industries are admitted to the special schools run for them and are motivated to learn.
CRECHE FOR THE CHILDREN
The creche program for the children of women prisoners was started in the year 1999 with the funding of the Central Social Welfare Board, New Delhi for the first two years.
HEALTH PROGRAM
The members are given subsidized consultation by the Physician in our Board and a Gynecologist on obtaining the Health Card issued by the organization.
SKILL TRAINING
The women members and the members in the prison are given trainings on Poly-Bag sugarcane nursery, fabric painting, tailoring, glass painting, soap powder making, phenyl making, cleaning powder making, candle making, etc.
POONJOLAI - The Home for children
A home for the deserving children who are orphaned, semi-orphaned, deserted, extremely poor or whose parent is inside the prison is run.
Go to school Programme
Children of age 6-14 are motivated to go to schools regularly under this programme. Motivation camps are conducted and regular follow ups are madae to ensure the drop out reduces.
Self Employment Scheme for Graduates
Scheme to improve the academic performance of school going students in standard 6th to 12th Launched in TRICHIRAPPALLI DISTRICT. This scheme is a part of a nationwide initiative of IRDA Ltd (www.sseg.in)
